Magic Island

Magic Island is a manmade peninsula located in Honolulu, Hawaii. It is adjacent to Ala Moana Beach park and the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor. It was originally created as a resort complex in 1964, however was converted to a park. The name was changed to “Aina Moana”, but that name is rarely if ever used.

The park at Magic island is frequently used for picnics, gatherings, games, and the occasional festival or drama performances. Every year Ala Moana Center puts on a Fourth of July fireworks spectacular over Magic Island and draws numerous beach-goers to the surrounding parks. The parks hours are sunrise to sunset each day, and overnight camping was recently banned.
